Well, the White House is ready for Christmas. I love how tasteful and elegant everything looks, yet it's very simply done, too....it's just right!
East Wing Christmas Wreath, with a gorgeous Red Bow:
The Red Room looks amazing!
The Blue Room is elegant and this tree is massive!
The East Entrance Hall is beautiful with all of these wreaths lining the windows!
And check out the White House Gingerbread House! Spectacular!!!
First Lady Michelle Obama also kicked off the Toys for Tots campaign for 2009. If you are able to, make sure to drop off a toy at your nearest drop off place, you can find one here.

Are they too cute or what?
Now, I'm all for dressing down and dirty when I garden, but I might have to rethink my grungy look after seeing these motorcycle boots in the mud on the White House lawn!!! It's so unexpected and hip, I love it!
In fact, I loved the whole look she had for gardening day:

Aside from her great sense of style (at sensible prices!), it is going to be fascinating to watch what causes that she will take on as First Lady. She is definitely interested in helping working mothers find more balance in their lives, so I know many will be watching what she does in that area. It also seems that she and her husband, President Barack Obama will also be taking on initiatives to improve our public schools and public education. It will really be exciting to see the changes that will be taking place in the next years in the Obama administration.
If you would like to contact First Lady Michelle Obama with any questions or concerns that you have, there are several options:
"Items sent to the White House are often significantly delayed and can be
irreparably harmed during the security screening process. Therefore,
please do not send items of personal importance, such as family photographs, because items may not be returned. For security reasons, please do not send consumable gifts -- such as food, flowers, and other perishable items -- to the White House. While President Obama, the First Lady, Vice President Biden, and Dr. Biden appreciate your thoughtfulness, they request that instead you look to your local community for opportunities to assist your neighbors in need."

I saw the footage of her on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, and she was just glowing...proving that you don't have to have on a designer gown to look beautiful.
Thank you, First Lady, Michelle Obama!

As well as her fun yet sophisticated dress that she wore on the cover of Vogue Magazine:
As you can imagine, many women are wondering where they can purchase Jason Wu designs for themselves. Here are a couple of places that I found:
Jason Wu at Ultimo.com Free Shipping Coupon Code: VIP09
My favorite is this Jason Wu Tulle Overlay Evening Dress, at ebay:
That is really all that I could find, I bet as soon as the world found out that he designed the First Lady's Inaugural Ball dress, that everything designed by him went flying off of the dress racks! I can see why, his designs are classic, yet sexy and sassy, too. I can't wait to see what Jason Wu designs next!
